Hey Paul, how do you get the sander to not bounce around on your blank. If I sand my blanks with a machine, it bounces all over the place.
Thousands of lifetime projects with woodglut plans.
The cleanest shaping room!
My Goodness I loved this video. Bless up!! 🇭🇹 ✌❤
Awesome video, what type of planer are you using
Is the Milwaukee a variable speed or do you have a separate voltage regulator....I could not find any info about this.
It's good to see Stodoys plans have new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.
Greetings Paul, Do you freestyle and like use the FORCE to trust your feelings (Luke) with everything like Obe Won Konobe suggests...lol!...or did you just not mention that you already had specific measurements for the tail and nose thicknesses?
PETRA &. DEVONTE IM DEATH DEAD AND CRY
How much are the nose and tail heights?
Test
What kind of sander / paper or you using?
i want to be apart of this world.
Paul Carter is such a great shaper and such a positive guy! I can learn a lot from his cool attitude for sure!
To save time I normally draw the outline and cut the blank before skinning the thickness down My RUclips tribe click subscribe 👇🏽 ruclips.net/user/cboardsdotcom My site blog.sanclementesurfboards.com/ Join my instagram page follow at instagram.com/pcboards
Please help me rid this confusion...how do you keep track of the rocker measurement details or custom profile of the rocker and board thickness from stringer out to rails near nose (and tail), along with deck contour, symmetry, etc. if you skin or plane the whole board top and bottom? But more important, for example, if I wanted to alter the entry and tail rocker to be flatter in front (nose entry), and kicked up slightly in the tail, is there numeric measurements that have to be written out first to ensure you don't shape it too thin in certain areas or screw with the boards planing performance?? And would you have to shave some from the middle of the board to adjust or fix such mistakes in entry or tail rocker profile? (sorry for the bombardment of questions)....Thanks for the video!
Your answer is in the Ben Aipa, Fiberglass Hawaii video.
Would there every be a time to write negative comments on the bottom of the board? Just kidding couldn't let that one slip by
Can you use a jigsaw
That's what I use.
So fucking annoying... stop
Qual a densidade do Isopor?
Próximo shaper a fluir a este tiempo.
cool videos Paul
No Vee or concave in the tail?
rabid wookie the only concave is in the nose for this style of board.
Hi paul watching this video again the sanding pad is that a hard pad or soft on the sander polisher where you clean up the rough shape ?
the yellow is a soft flexpad
It's not finished :(
Great vids man never shaped a board but really want to
tanks man....nice video
nesecito tablas para peru tambien material comunicate con migo al +51960384050
good stuff, but would have like to see more of the rails, were they the same 60/40 through out, more tuck a the tail, and hard edge? and how to transition those things when shaping.
krusher74 yes 60/40 with a tucked edge last 24inches
What kind of square sander are you using?
thanks sooo much!!!!!!!
Peter Rowed thank you
since you're running the planer exhaust to a vertical hose venting to a bag or outdoors.... why not run the power cord up the hose also ?........an old aircraft mechanic.........JRW
A trick: watch movies at flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Maxim Reed yup, have been watching on flixzone} for since november myself :D
I also drape the cord around my neck! It seems like the only way to keep it out of the way.
damn it ... i would love to be as good as u shaping. i am shaping my 2nd longboard hopefully everything will go just fine, it'll be a 9'x24''x3-3 1/4''

what was the name of the tool, the scissor one??
Steezwizard99 thanks alot for your positive feedback. Check out cboardsdotcom for the latest videos. I recently shaped a 12 sup for training and surfing in 1 to 2ft surf.
Thanks xwhite I enjoy shaping more than ever. Check out the latest blogs at cboardsdotcom. Sorry for the delay.
sorry for the delay Finn, You can use just about any plane as you find there are different grits or texture when using them. I use a wood plane for the tips of the nose and tail most of the time. Check out cboardsdotcom for more info thanks for the question. Have fun
Dustin thanks for the question sorry for the delay these videos are not on my personal page. When shaping you can start with anything available, but as you get into shaping more having the right tools saves alot of time and energy. Check out cboardsdotcom for more videos, photos and much more, thanks for checking out the videos or pcboards on instagram
You can make templates from any board you like. Most of the wood templates i use are modified over the years from surfing and shaping new boards. Have fun there are no rules in shaping
Sorry for delay these videos are not on my personal page so I dont know when they are posted. Cost vary depending on where you live. Check with factories in your town.
the dimensions keep the outline even on both sides of the board. Thanks for the question.
why did you measure out the dimensions before using a template? can't you just use a full board template and trace the whole shape of the board, then cut? Thanks man
The customer probably wanted a more custom out line and he knew his desired nose/ tail width, you get more customization doing the “Frankenstein” template rather then just grabbing one you already have. does that make sense?
@@aidanrichards186 yep, thanks!
Great video! I am stoked and inspired and I'm buyin' a blank! Gonna make me a Mini Simmons!
rgreiling enjoy the journey keep at it
hey paul greetings from the Gold Coast Australia! great set of vids! 1 question..how do I make sure I dont get print through or noticible glass lapping on my rails when glassing? do I just sand the lap back then hot glass straight over? just worried bout seeing the overlap
Thanks for Sharing, great job!
Brett Gargan your welcome thank you
